About

The Interesting Narrative of Mosunmola O. Adeojo

Hello, there!

Here's an image of a beautiful lady in a wine dress. She stands in a sunny landscape somewhere in the plains of South Carolina.

My name is Mosunmola Omowunmi Adeojo. I am a Yoruba girl :) from Nigeria and currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Florida. I also teach professional writing, analytical writing, and world literature at the same university. My research interests are broadly in Cultural studies, Global Anglophone literature, Black Atlantic studies and Mission studies. I also have interests in Victorian literature, Global Christianity, Afro-Victorianism, and the socio-cultural and political connections between Victorian England and Nigeria in the 20th and 21st centuries. I have also done work on Nigeria's Military History, Gender studies, and Digital Media studies.

In my current research, I study anti-imperialism in religious and political spaces in 19th and 20th-century Nigeria. I engage with J.J. Ransome-Kuti's mission and political work and examine how he is represented in digital and physical archives.

When I am not reading or writing about my research, I teach World Literature and Professional writing. I use multimodal methods (digital media, virtual exchange, image-text, audio analysis, etc.) to teach literature and professional writing.

Now when I am not doing any of these things, I paint, play my gangan, draw, read, cook, travel, and watch football.
